Every couple, and every wedding, is unique. They're one of the best days of your life, and you want to cherish each and every memory you have from the big day.
That's where "The Wedding Photographer" steps in. Their mission is to capture all the key moments. Each photographer brings with them a broad range of experience, equipment, and styles. Picking the right one can be a daunting task!
Having gone through the process of choosing the photographer for my own wedding, I can appreciate how scary and overwhelming it can be. The number one piece of advice I can offer is to look at the galleries of potential photographers...think about the styles of images you like, and try and find a photographer who can show they consistently deliver that type of image.
With that in mind, please take a look at a small selection of images from some weddings I've photographed. Further information on my wedding photography services can be found below the galleries.
I offer bespoke wedding photography. This means that I'll tailor the services and style of photography around the needs of you and your partner.
As a very general overview of what to expect:
It's important for everyone to meet early to discuss the wedding and any special ideas you might have. I'm more than happy to meet and discuss your plans for the big day. This helps to establish whether we have good chemistry, which goes a long way to making the day enjoyable for all. I also like to keep in touch leading up to the wedding, and am happy to have regular meetings as and when required.
I thoroughly recommend having an engagement shoot. This is an informal photography session, usually just me and the bride and groom. Apart from producing some excellent "Teaser" images to share with friends and family, an engagement shoot helps the "models" (that's you!) get used to being in front of a camera, and how to pose. This way, on the big day, you can focus on having fun and not worrying about the photos!
The wedding day
I start early, and finish late. I'll be with the bride (and groom if possible) to get photos of the wedding party getting ready. I'll then disappear off and get photos of the venue and guests arriving, prior to photographing the arrival of the bride, and the ceremony itself. Afterwards, its the couples photos and group shots, followed by the reception, first dance, cake cutting etc. Whereas many photographers will end their session after the first dance or cake cutting, I like to stick around, as many of those lifetime memories happen in the final hours of the wedding!
I like to try and get a small teaser selection of photos processed and available to the bride and groom soon after the wedding. The bulk of photos will follow a few days later. The full resolution images are provided to the bride and groom, and are also made available on an online password protected gallery for friends and family to access.
My prices are around $2000 to photograph a wedding. I don't like to force options on clients based on fixed price "packages". Some couples don't want engagement shoots, whilst other weddings might have several and involve an element of transport and accommodation costs. As such, please do get in touch, we can discuss your ideas, and I can provide a detailed, customised quote. I can be contacted by email, using the "Contact Form" link below.
